Does it make a difference if I wax my car in the shade or in the sun? Is it better to wax my car in the shade? Believe it or not there is a difference if you wax your car in the sun compared to waxing it in the shade. Waxing your car in the sun will can pose a few problems.

The sun will bake the car wax on your car's suface, which will make it more challenging to remove. Another reason is the direct sun, ingredients in the wax such as oils can evaporate which will cause the wax to be less effective. Lastly, the sun can cause your car's surface to become extremely hot especially if it is sitting in the sun for a long period of time.The heat from the sun can cause your car's paint to soften which will cause it to be vulnerabe to light scratches and swirls.
